Can I Afford College?
You're Not Alone
Funding your education can be overwhelming. There are many resources and options available, and you may not know where to start. Don't stress. Moraine Valley can walk you through all of your financial options to ensure you are making the right decision. Feel empowered at Moraine Valley and explore different programs and interests without the high price tag of a four-year college or university. We have resources available remotely, so you can discuss your future plans with advisors and counselors by appointment or from the comfort of your home.
Before each year of college, apply for federal grants, work-study, and loans with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form. Your college uses your FAFSA data to determine your federal aid eligibility. Many states and colleges use FAFSA data to award their own aid. After submission, you’ll receive your Student Aid Report.
Moraine Valley Scholarships are gift aid — you do not have to repay them or earn them by working. The scholarship application for the following school year is typically open from February through March. The Moraine Valley Foundation has more than 200 scholarships for both incoming and current students ranging from $250 to $5,000.
